SEO and marketing training for teams

I run bespoke SEO and marketing training built around your website, market and team’s real questions.

The sessions are practical, using the work already in front of you rather than a standard syllabus. The aim is to give people greater confidence in what to do next.

Training that relates to day-to-day work

Generic training can be useful for learning the foundations, but it does not always translate easily into the work a team needs to do afterwards.

Your team does not need to solve an imaginary website problem. They need to understand why a particular page is not performing, how to plan content for the site they already manage, how to use the tools available to them and what to prioritise next.

That is why each session is built around the business itself.

We use your website, your search performance, your content and the questions your team is already asking. The result is training that feels relevant in the room and remains useful once people are back at work.

What training I run

Team workshops

Half-day or full-day workshops for marketing teams that want to develop practical SEO and organic-growth skills.

Sessions can focus on the current website, content planning, technical foundations, search measurement or the priorities most relevant to the team.

In-house SEO training

In-house SEO training is for teams that manage search internally and want to build greater confidence and capability.

It can cover how search works, how to assess pages, plan useful content, work with developers, interpret performance data and make more informed decisions about SEO activity.

One-to-one training

One-to-one sessions are useful for marketing managers, founders or business owners who have taken responsibility for SEO and want a clearer understanding of how to approach it.

The sessions are tailored around the person’s role, the business and the decisions they need to make.

Agency upskilling

I provide specialist training for agencies that need additional depth in areas such as technical SEO, website migrations, search-led content and wider organic strategy.

The aim is to help the team deliver stronger work with greater confidence, while keeping the learning grounded in the types of projects they actually handle.

Leadership and decision-maker sessions

Shorter sessions for leadership teams and decision-makers who need to understand how search and organic growth support the business without becoming practitioners themselves.

These sessions focus on the questions that affect priorities, investment, measurement and the decisions needed to move work forward.

How a session is built

Each session begins with a conversation about the team, website and the questions that need answering.

I usually review the relevant parts of the site before we agree the content, so the session can use real examples and focus on the areas that will be most useful to the people in the room.

The training is then shaped around your needs. That may mean working through a specific issue, reviewing the website together, practising a method the team can use again or creating a shared plan for what to do next.

Afterwards, you receive the session materials, a written summary of the key points and a clear list of next actions. A follow-up call gives the team an opportunity to ask the questions that tend to arise once they begin applying the learning.

What a typical workshop can cover

The exact content is tailored to the team, but a full-day session often includes:

  • Reviewing the website and current search position together.
  • Understanding the technical and content factors affecting visibility.
  • Researching the questions, topics and search opportunities that matter to the business.
  • Learning how to plan or improve pages with a clearer purpose.
  • Looking at the data and reports that should inform decisions.
  • Agreeing the next priorities and how the team will put the learning into practice.

Half-day sessions can focus more tightly on one area. Longer programmes can spread learning across several sessions, with time for the team to apply the work between them.

Who it is for

Training and workshops are a good fit for in-house marketing teams, agencies and decision-makers who want more confidence in how they approach organic growth.

The sessions work best when the people attending have real work to apply the learning to and the scope to make changes afterwards.

This is not a qualification course. It is tailored, practical support designed around the questions your team needs to answer and the work they need to carry out.

Common questions

Is the training online or in person?
Either. In-person workshops work particularly well for full-day team sessions, while online sessions can be a practical option for shorter workshops or distributed teams.
How many people can attend?
Small groups usually allow more discussion and practical work. Up to around 12 people works well for a workshop format.
Do you provide materials?
Yes. You receive the materials used during the session, along with a summary of the key points and next actions.
Can the session focus on one subject?
Yes. The content can be built around a specific topic, such as technical SEO, content planning, website migrations, search strategy or measurement.
Can you support the team after the workshop?
Yes. Follow-up support can be agreed where it would be useful, whether that is a review call, additional sessions or ongoing specialist support.

Plan training for your team

If your team needs practical SEO or marketing training built around the work they are already doing, tell me a little about the people involved and what you would like them to gain from the session.

I’ll read it personally and let you know what format is likely to work best.
