How I work
Every project starts by understanding the business problem before deciding on the marketing response.
That might sound simple, but it keeps the work focused. Rather than beginning with a channel or a list of activities, we begin with what needs to change and what would make the greatest difference.

- 01
Start with the question
At the outset, I get a clear picture of where the business is now and what you need from the work.
We look at the website, the available data, existing marketing activity and the wider commercial context. I will ask about the customers you want more of, the enquiries that matter most, what you have already tried and where you feel progress has stalled.
Some of the most useful questions are not obviously about marketing. They are about the offer, the sales process and the decisions your customers need to make before choosing you.
By the end of this stage, we have a shared view of the problem we are solving.
- 02
Agree the priority
The next step is to decide what should happen first.
The result is a small number of clear, sequenced priorities rather than an exhaustive list of recommendations. We choose the work because it supports the business goal we have agreed, whether that means improving organic visibility, strengthening a website, creating more useful content or addressing something that sits outside search.
Sometimes the most helpful advice is to focus elsewhere before investing further in SEO. I will be clear about that, so your time and budget go towards work that is likely to be useful.
- 03
Plan, deliver and review
Once the priority is agreed, I create a practical plan: what needs to happen, why it matters, what I will deliver and where I need your input.
I do the work myself and stay close to the detail throughout. That means the context built in the first conversations carries through to delivery, without being lost between strategy and implementation.
We review the work regularly, discuss what has changed and decide what to do next. If priorities shift, we adjust the plan rather than continuing with activity that no longer serves the business.
What working together looks like
Project work has a defined scope, a clear start and end point, and decision points along the way. At the end, you receive a debrief you can share internally, with the key findings, recommendations and next steps clearly set out.
For ongoing support, most clients have a monthly call alongside direct contact between meetings for questions and decisions. Each month has a clear focus, and updates explain what has been done, what has changed and what needs attention next.
My role is to lead and deliver organic-growth work across search, content and websites. If a project also needs a different specialist, I will make that clear early and help you identify the right support where I can.
Let’s talk
If you have a project in mind or need a clearer view of where to focus, book a call and we can talk it through.
